COMING SOON! The "first-ever" life-size mascots of San Marcos' endangered species!

Mermaid Society’s vision: We're thrilled to introduce our cast of lovable mascots who will serve as ambassadors for our endangered local species.

Meet Our Mascots:

Sandy SMTX Salamander: Sandy is a friendly San Marcos salamander with a heart as big as her smile. She embodies the beauty and fragility of our endangered amphibians.

Wendy “Tex” Wild Rice: Wendy is a spirited wild rice plant, representing the lush aquatic vegetation that sustains life in the San Marcos River. Although Wendy may not wear boots, she is surely Texan!

“Too Cool” Sammy Salamander: Sammy is Sadie's adventurous companion.  Although Sammy cannot see, he is always ready to dive into new discoveries with Sandy. Together, they symbolize the rich biodiversity of our aquatic world. And like Wendy, Sammy is Texan through and through.

We're aiming to create the "first-ever" San Marcos Endangered Species Mascot costumes to support our Youth Eco-Guardianship Programming.

We have already secured $1,500 through donations so, we're halfway there to reaching our goal of $3,000! We believe that with your support, we can reach our goal! You can make a difference by donating today! We'll be fundraising until we reach our goal!
